California Rights Group Wants Target to Pull 'Illegal Alien' Halloween Costume

I have to admit, the headline grabbed my interest.
Naturally, the immediate question that comes to mind? In today's
politically charged atmosphere of political correctness? Who in their
right mind would market such a product.
But IMO? The larger looming unanswered question? Who would want to be
an illegal alien for Halloween? Or worse, who would want their kid to
be one.
Tongue in cheek aside, and even considering the obvious play on
extraterrestrial aliens the reality remains, this is about as stupid as
dressing up as a terrorist in today's world. But then again? That would
probably be accepted as a valid personal statement in many corners of
today's America.
Either way you slice it, something is terribly wrong when serious
criminal social issues are trivialized on the one hand and then
defended on the other.
