Something Is Wrong In Wasilla

Ever since the breaking news announcement this afternoon concerning Governor Sarah Palin, I have been at an increasing loss for words and bewildered of thought, as to exactly what has happened and what was or is behind it all.

To suddenly call a news conference and then to get up there in front of the national media and ramble for twenty minutes, before finally dropping two bombshells? Well something is going on IMO and that something stands to be a big bombshell. And a lot bigger bombshell than the mere announcements that occurred in Wasilla this afternoon.

I could understand her decision to opt not to run for a second term as governor of Alaska, in order to prepare for a national presidential race. But I cannot fathom why she would abandon her current term 2 1/2 years in and without any explanation other than what I considered to be a weak, rambling and lack luster dissertation that left more questions than it answered.

It was as if I was watching a different version of the inexplicable Mark Sanford press conference of ten days ago. Only this time? No discernible scandal or rhyme or reason to the mid afternoon drama. Something tells me that we have not heard the last of this shocking announcement of Governor Palin's resignation.

And something tells me that when the other shoe finally drops? It is going to be a bombshell. Something that will literally shake the republican party to its foundations.

You just don't get elected to the governorship of a state, then get picked to be the running mate of a presidential party candidate, then suddenly six months after the race, simply call a news conference and bow out of office. Not unless there is a major reason or outside influence at work in that decision.

There is no question or doubt in my mind, that Sarah Palin has purposely fallen on her own sword and there is presently no amount of convincing me that it was done for the benefit of family or because of the totality of stress that the vice presidential run created and has continued to create. Or that it was decided based upon the recent controversy involving Letterman.

Sarah Palin was sitting on the cusp of being the 2012 nominee for the presidency of the United States as the republicans choice and suddenly? Someone yanked Cinderella's shoes and her ball dress and turned her chariot back into a pumpkin and mice.

Something is definitely amiss and it is only a matter of time before the truth prevails. And when it does, people's heads are really going to spin IMO.

A Media Cake Sale

Washington Post Cancels Plans to Hold Costly Dinner for Lobbyists

Well of course they had to cancel it. As soon as some less than savvy dweeb let it leak out that the editor of the Washington Post was seeking to be the go between between Washington insiders and lobbyists and those on capitol hill and the Obama administration? What else could they do.

The flier called the discussion an "exclusive opportunity to participate in the health care reform debate among the select few who will actually get it done." The "few" included Obama administration officials, congressional leaders and Post reporters and editors. The fee was $25,000 per "sponsor," and $250,000 for an annual sponsorship.

Imagine that....an "exclusive opportunity." Is that what we are calling pay for play in the new world order of Obama's Washington these days? Yes, it certainly looks like whether this clandestine little get together came off or not, there will still be efforts afoot to hook up "the few" (with the money to play) with Obama administration insiders, Washington post editors and congressional leaders. (Would that be considered a "Cabal?")

How quaint. According to these revelations, it seems to be both legal and ethical to have one of these get togethers, just as long as they do it all together and call it a dinner. Which makes me wonder about the difference between simply visiting a prostitute and attending a government sponsored orgy. Is there a difference? Obviously one activity is looked upon shady and distasteful (not to mention illegal) while the other is probably akin to attending one of Louis the XVI's and Marie's masquerade balls according to these neuvo democrat politicos inside the beltway. I wonder what kinds of cake they intended to serve at this little dinner get together. What ever it would have been? I'll bet that it would have rivaled the best that Louis the XVI could have mustered in his day.

Helen Thomas Speaks Truth To Power

You will have to wait for the end of the video, but Helen Thomas absolutely refuses to let Gibby off the hook on his trying to dodge the quesation of the president's town hall meeting today and the fact that the media was being excluded and the internet questions were being culled and in the can for the president.

Way to go Helen!

The Beast of Wasilla

Todd Purdom

Palin Vanity Fair Article Reignites Feud Among Former Campaign Aides It Came from Wasilla

Over the past seven or eight months, I have read plenty of copy on Governor Sarah Palin and the concerted effort by mass media to blunt, dull and diminish her and her family for the benefit of political scalping and to kill any possibility of her candidacy for a 2012 run for the presidency. But little compares to the latest offering of one Todd Purdom in his Vanity Fair piece for August 2009's edition.

Here is a man that represents himself as a journalist, but whose resume quickly reveals that his origins in the sport reside mainly in his having been hand raised and weaned in the New York Times environment and organization. Not exactly the bell weather standard of journalistic integrity, even for those who cling to the old gray lady as if she were still the pristine virgin at the dance.

None the less, Purdom's hit piece on Sarah Palin in next month's edition of Vanity Fair, is one of the most banal and concentrically sanguine pieces of journalistic tripe masquerading as educated opinion that I have ever had the displeasure of wading through.

Purdom once again demonstrates the rip it and read it formula of the anguished leftist, by dutifully hitting all the known talking points of the targeted subject, then twisting and braiding in his own less than amusing threads and observations and snide character attacks as if they lend pristine analysis to an otherwise less than lack luster review of previous scalpings.

From reading through this critique of Sarah Palin by Purdom? One might seriously wonder as to if the entire republican party had been secretly infiltrated by idiocy for ever having even allowed the woman to become half of the McCain Palin 2008 presidential ticket. From the sounds of it, she should remain in the back woods of Alaska punching out babies and cleaning and gutting moose for dinner.

On the contrary? Purdom portrays John McCain as if he is some masterful incarnation of a political savvy Yoda and master of the universe, only to have been thwarted by some back woods babe from Wasilla. Reminiscence of "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman" is what came to my mind, while musing the images that must have been playing in Purdom's head while he was authoring this journalistic fairy tale about Sarah Palin.

I would recommend that anyone interested, please do indulge your curiosity and wade into this piece of tripe as if you were strolling into a swamp. Make sure and strap on your hip waders though and be wary of slimy squishy things slithering about in Mr. Purdom's wild eyed visions of his own grandeur and his professed and paid ability to assess and comment on current events.

Miracles Do Happen

Baltimore Archdiocese to Examine Woman's 'Miracle'

The Archdiocese of Baltimore plans to investigate whether an Annapolis woman's cure from cancer was a miracle, a possible step toward sainthood for a 19th-Century priest.

For those incapable of belief in a merciful God, let them read of this woman's miracle and decide for themselves.

The Frankenstein Monster Goes To Washington

Franken Wins Senate Battle Minn. Court Ruling Gives Democrats A 60-Seat Majority

Yesterday the Minnesota Supreme Court settled the race for US Senate between Al Franken and Norm Coleman. After which Coleman conceded and issued a statement saying that he would not seek further legal action to attempt and preserve his senate seat.

There are three things that are interesting to me about this story. First that there are that many stupid people in Minnesota. Prior to some recent elections? I use to believe that those living in Massachusetts were the stupidest Americans. How else to explain Teddy Kennedy's forty plus year run in the senate and his sidekick John Kerry? But I digress.

I believe that those in Minnesota lost the plot back when they elected Jesse (the body) Ventura to the governor's office and they haven't found it since. Therefore, the first bit of amazement in this entire affair that baffles me? Is that that many people in Minnesota would vote this idiot into office in the first place. But then again? Minnesota is establishing a track record for idiocy at the ballot box.

The second thing that I find amazing is that it took eight months to resolve this election, but most importantly, the real amazing part of this entire drama is that the courts of Minnesota combined to disallow the votes of enough Minnesotans to reach this apparently desired and contrived result.

Welcome to the modern day version of the Frankenstein monster. Al Franken has as much business being a US senator as I have flying the space shuttle, but a senator he is. And the villagers who should have been riding him out of town on a rail with a torch parade, have now elected him to the US senate and their courts have given him their collective blessing.

Stranger than fiction possibly, but the end result is that now, the political power has been completely given over to a ruling elite of democrats in America and at the worst possible moment in time IMO.

Neverland Never Dies

'I'm better off dead. I'm done'

It's been a little over 72 hours now, since the king of pop passed from our midst. I have purposely refrained from commenting on his death, in lieu of contenting myself to simply watch the lecherous aftermath of what surely is proving to be a media feeding frenzy and media circus. Quite predictable I might add and leaving little for someone like myself to add of either worth or relevance.

I was like many of the Jackson era, I passed the last forty odd years on the sidelines watching the rise of the child into the mega star and then the decent into the decadence of a childhood deprived and prolonged by mind boggling wealth and a media circus that both prolonged and propelled it into its final oblivion.

I was never a great fan of the man or his music, although I must admit that his Thriller video has always stood out to me as the zenith of his career and the best offering of talent that he ever produced IMO. I like many others, simply watched the circus that was Michael's life and never considered the conflicts and pain that he endured until probably the last five or six years of his life. The man child was a hapless soul IMO.

A pitiful mass of humanity that had long ago been trapped into the life of a performing circus animal and never allowed to experience even the most simple joys in life. How else to explain the infatuation with Peter Pan and Neverland and the boy who never grew up. How else to explain the known comfort of the company of children. How else to explain the wide eyed wonder of extravagance, all the while never considering the consequences, or the fact that at some point the money runs out.

Michael Jackson was the classic caricature of arrested development IMO. The child trapped in the grown up body that could never be a man and yet could never remain as a child. There were never any options for this trick pony from Gary Indiana. He was born into a family of performing acts and he wound up being the prize pony of an abusive father that never allowed him to simply enjoy being a child. I could probably say a lot about my observations of Michael Jackson over the last thirty odd years, but there would be little point.

Most everyone knows and has seen for themselves the spiral of the once mega star into the oblivion that resulted in his death this week. In the article linked above, the author clears up more than a few loose ends and answers more than a few painful questions IMO. The article and comments obviously excerpted from his book and from a seeming wealth of direct experience dealing with and observing Michael over years.

The author is the first person to bring it all into perspective since Michael's death IMO and his book was already written before Michael's death. My first thoughts after hearing of Michael's death this week were.....'let the circus begin.' But in reality, the circus has always been there, it never ended. It goes on and all that has changed is that the real freak show is about to begin. And that will become the legacy. Everyone from the creditors to all the other scavengers are only out to make a buck.

Sadly so, even his family will be right in the midst of carving up the legacy. They will all be tearing at the carcass of memory that was once the king of pop music and they will each want their pound of flesh and royalties for their efforts. Thankfully, Michael is gone and removed from this final act of debauchery. He won't have to endure the penetrating lights and the sneering laughter anymore, or the family betrayal that has already begun IMO.

He has endured one of the most sumptuous and painful lives that any human being could possibly imagine, but all that has ended now. And whether he is at peace now is something that remains between him and his creator.

I for one find no pleasure in watching the circus. I am content to remember the performer that was Michael at his best. Before the corruption of life and people had taken their toll and destroyed the last living resident of Neverland.

I can close my eyes and almost hear Michael's voice saying......."Forget them, Wendy. Forget them all. Come with me where you'll never, never have to worry about grown up things again."

RIP Michael.

Cap & Trade "There's a Sign Post Up Ahead"

House narrowly passes major energy-climate bill

By a margin of seven votes late yesterday afternoon, the US House of (non) representatives, signed the death warrant for the American economy and any hope of survival for the American people, to ever pull out of this recession without a depression IMO.

Yes, it is now only a matter of time before the great depression that has long been feared actually arrives in America and is recreated in our time with a vengeance. The plug has been pulled on our economy by those that we elected to represent our better interests in Washington and they had their hands on the lever every inch of the way. They have given themselves over to the loyalty of Marxist idealism as opposed to the people who elected them and now, we will all must suffer the consequences of failing in our diligence to insure that they looked out for our better interests.

America was already on life support, with a staggering economy and monthly job losses literally crushing the breath out of every gasp and attempt made by the economy to catch its breath. But never mind all that, this isn't about saving the nation's economy for the Washington liberal socialist elite. This is about wrecking it, plain and simple. And that has been their plan ever since Barrack Hussein Obama and his handlers first positioned him to run for the presidency of the United States. The best laid plans of mice and men? Not hardly.

These were and are the best laid plans of Marxist socialists and those who have spent their lives constructing the means and deploying the methodologies of destroying individual freedom and capitalism in America. And they are finally succeeding. And yesterday they achieved a mortal blow IMO. The messianic one promised during the campaign that he would kill the coal industry in America. Barrack Hussein Obama was on record.

Obama to kill coal? Swing states erupt

"If somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can," Obama said in an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle. "It's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted."

And what did the American people say to that campaign promise from the man who promised change? How did they react in the coal states to his promise of putting them out of work and out of business and in the poor house of destitution? Well let's see.......

This is the map of coal producing states in America. And this is a map of the states that voted for Obama.... Yes, half of the coal producing states in America voted for Barack Hussein Obama.

And yesterday the United States Congress cemented the inevitability of collapse of the American coal industry with their passage of this supposed "energy bill." The prophesy is proven. Barack Obama does intend to bankrupt the American coal industry.

“We passed transformational legislation which takes us into the future,” Pelosi said at a press conference following the vote, after she and other leaders took congratulatory phone calls from Obama, former Vice President Al Gore and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

You most certainly did Madam Speaker and the American people will rue the day that they ever saw this socialist interloper and his rogues gallery of socialist progressives such as yourself handed the reins of legislative power in this country. At the very moment in time when America is struggling and laboring to breath under the weight of the most crushing recession and job losses in our history? You have lead the way to the slaughter of American survivability on the alter of egalitarian socialism and it's bass turd sibling Marxist relativism.

These supposed mother earth environmentalists who have created this lunacy and their minions in Washington, are after nothing less than murdering the great beast that once was the American economy. Don't be confused and don't be blinded by what is actually going on here folks. While the America coal industry is being dealt its death blows by this Barack Obama inspired and Nancy Pelosi crafted energy bill, China and the rest are proceeding full ahead to develop their coal industries unrestrained. They don't even have 1940's regulatory oversight on their coal production or coal fired plants.

Mean while, Europeans are developing their nuclear powered plants, while we here in America have been lulled into the lies of socialist guilt and the belief that we don't deserve to enjoy what we have provided for ourselves and the majority of the world for the past 100 years. We have no right to either coal or nuclear power. Leave that for the Chinese, the Indians, the N Koreans and the Iranians. And get rid of those damned SUV's while you are at it people. Prepare to buy bicycles for your daily commute, because that is where we are headed as a nation.

As the costs of energy for Americans begins to rise in the weeks and months ahead, I only hope that Americans will look back and remember who and what did this to them. As their power bills increase and their cost of gas at the pump and their costs of food in the grocery becomes astronomical.

Oh yes....the cost of living in America is about to go dramatically up friends. But take heart! You have done something to strike a blow for the planet! Mother earth rejoices in your misery and snickers at your illiterate ignorance of realities and the ability of harlequin jesters to convince you to bleed yourselves to death.

And yes, your representatives (the ones that you elected) will dress this pig and paint on any color that helps sooth your raw nerves as the months progress. So do prepare yourselves to return the favor come November of 2010 and again in November 2012. As those are the next stops on this run away train into oblivion.

Rod Serling said it best IMO.

"You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension - a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone!"

The emails now revealed

Paper reveals SC gov's romantic e-mail exchange

Much has been made of South Carolina's governor Mark Sanford's disappearance act last week and the subsequent revelations of an affair with an Argentine woman this week, but one of the big missing links now revealed are the emails. Not that there are any great revelations or unique perspectives revealed in any private communication concerning a sordid affair, but the South Carolina newspaper that has supposedly had these emails for the last six months and sat on the? Well that leaves a bit more than a simple question mark at the end of the examination IMO.

Someone with access to the governor's private email account obviously skimmed these emails months ago and sent them to the newspaper. And now that the proverbial cat is out of the bag? The newspapers releases the emails and claims that they had no way of knowing that they were true before the governor's confession? "

We didn't know that they were true, basically, until this week, and events that happened this week, things the governor said today, finding him at an airport in Atlanta coming back from Buenos Aires, authenticated the e-mails," O'Connor said.

I am sorry, but that is a bit of a stretch for me. They obviously knew these emails involved the governor and that they involved a potential political bombshell. What were they waiting for? IMO, the answer is relatively simple. They intended to sit on these emails for how ever long it took, to determine the political viability of a presidential run by Sanford in 2012.

The Obamagasm Infomercial

ABC ObamaCare Special Turns Into Presidential Filibuster

The first reviews of the arrival of the Great Pumpkin's Obamagasm infomercial? And aside from ABC (the network that aired it) the reviews look a little dicey in the pale morning light. We all know that Charlie Gibson and those at ABC are still basking in the after glow of the great pumpkin's Obamagasm, but for the rest of us there weren't many tingly feelings running up and down the legs last night or this morning. Of course I haven't checked in on the Chris Matthews critique just yet, but I am fairly sure that the Obama infomercial didn't have the desired effect that the Obama White house had hoped for. Not even much indulgence by media on the morning news reports this morning covering the story.

Call this a teachable moment, but even with ABC’s best-laid plans to kickstart the debate about health care reform and not allow the “Prescription for America” special to become an “infomercial,” as many have complained – the president spent more than twice as much time as his questioners vaguely answering or not answering the questions asked of him. But the network consistently presented the event as part of the need to fix a "broken system." When asked, every one of the 164 hand-picked audience members said they felt that health care needed to be changed.

Well of course they did. What was to be expected? After all, this was a hand picked audience by the All Barack Channel and probably aided by moveon.org and the Huff Pro and God knows who else in the democratic party. And then there was this....

In fact, at one point, the president went on for four minutes and 33 seconds to answer a question about government interference, the “Big Brother fear” as the questioner put it and how it would be paid for. In the next segment Gibson pleaded with the president to keep his response to the next question shorter.

I am sorry, but the word wh ore comes to mind when I read something like this. As if some pleading harlot is begging for the trick to go easy on her. Almost as if Gibson was saying......'After all, everyone knows what is going on here Barack, please don't make it so obvious.' So there you have it, the president lays out his plan for socialized medicine to a hand picked canned audience and the All Barack Channel refuses to allow any rebuttal or opposing viewpoints or opinions.

So.....are we now headed toward a disastrous cliff with Obama's socialized health care program? Was a major American news network in the tank and remains so for this president? Was this infomercial and the policy that it was hustling just another example of Obama's intended complete control of this country beginning with the media? “The answers are yes to all of that, and if the American people get behind us, this is going to happen,” Obama said, getting the last word from ABC.

What was in the letter?

U.S. Contacted Iran Supreme Leader Before Election

In the aftermath of the obviously rigged Iranian elections, it is now revealed that president Obama sent a letter to the real power in Iran prior to the elections. Not president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, but rather Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khameneiin. A letter in advance of the sham elections that president Obama had to know was about to occur. Khameneiin has even subsequently acknowledged receipt of the president's letter.

I for one am wondering what was in that letter. Will it ever be known? I seriously doubt it. Supposed national security and such will naturally preclude release of the letter until long after Obama is out of office and probably only after he is long since dead. Provided that this country even exist at that point in time. But it would be interesting to see what this president was passing in back channels to this totalitarian theocracy of Islamic militancy.

Am I alone in that thinking and curiosity? Am I alone in wondering what could have been of such importance, as to use back channel diplomacy to send a private communique to a totalitarian regime? Even Neville Chamberlain was more above board in his cowardly appeasing approach to Hitler. Is this the style of diplomacy that is to be revisited and revived by this president? And what other plans does he have in the making. The first question that should be asked of this president IMO is why?

Why send letters to Islamic tyrants through back channel diplomatic pouches? And why do it in advance of an election that any reasonable person (other than Jimmy Carter) would have to realize is going to be a sham. And have there been other letters sent to other extremist radical leaders? Is this why there has been no response from Obama on the intended missile launch by N Korea? Has a gentleman's agreement already been reached between him and Kim? Letters to Kim Jong? Letters to Hugo Chavez? Where does the trail end and at what level of complicity is our president involved in facilitating socialism, communism, fascism and tyranny globally.

I for one in light of what I am seeing believe these are fair questions. The problem is? We as citizens of this country have few if any individuals in media, willing to speak truth to power. And fewer than that who will ask those probing questions in our behalf. I watch the news reports and read the internet daily and I know the answers that I keep coming up with to some of these questions that I am raising. Especially in light of the president's performance on the Iranian election and the crisis that has followed since the rigged elections. IMO, legitimate and probing questions need to be asked by those claiming to be journalists and claiming to represent the best interests of "we the people." We gave them the constitutional right to ask the questions for us and they are abdicating their responsibility to the king. I

f you ask my opinion? Obama's letter was an acknowledgment of his advanced intent to do absolutely nothing in the face of what he already knew would be the result of these elections. He already knew how the Iranians intended to handle this sham election and that they intended to put down any resistance to the outcome. Obama IMO, was telling them in advance, that regardless of the published outcome in the American media or the reality of fact as would be leaked out eventually via the internet, that he would sit on his hands and do absolutely nothing. What other interpretation can be made in lieu of his actions (lack of action) as it concerns the fledgling revolution currently struggling for life in Iran.

I believe I know what other presidents of my lifetime would have done in this instance save one. Jimmy Carter would have been every bit as weak as Obama if not more, but I don't even think that Bill Clinton would have reacted so poorly and transiently and visibly weak on the international stage to the Iranians and terrorists as this president has. And I know what Reagan or either of the Bush's or the rest would have done I am fairly certain. And yesterday, after over ten days of abject refusal to address the crisis in any substantive fashion, Obama was finally cornered.

During yesterday's press conference from the White House, Major Garret of Fox news finally baited the dragon in his lair and took on the president head on. Garret asked the president pointedly and directly as it concerned his weak leadership concerning the events in Iran, "what took you so long?" (as in what took you so long to show any spine on the issue) What took you so long to denounce these repressive acts by the Iranians?

And the other networks present at the news conference suddenly seemed to find some collective balls after Garret of Fox news had finally cornered Obama on his weakness on the Iranian crisis. Here are some of the other questions that were finally unleashed by a previously cowed media.

And once again the "I am the president of the United States and they are not" was about all that Obama had as a response or retort to justifiably probing questions of his administration and its failure to address the present day realities of threats to this country. Meanwhile, Charles Gibson of ABC news is getting fitted and sized for his Lincoln bedroom slippers and bathrobe tonight, as he anchors a two hour ABC news extravaganza "Live from the White House." (The Barack Obama Socialist health care program submitted to America by the All Barack Channel.)

In any other era or at any other time where reason and common sense prevailed? Americans would be outraged and calling this production precisely what it is. They would be calling it propaganda and acknowledging the reality that we are on the cusp of Obama creating a "Ministry of Propaganda" and doing so with existing media resources. But I guess we should first allow the man to have his say through his corrupted media mouthpieces before we call the reality before us what it is.

The Cloward and Piven Strategy As Currently Applied

An eye opening read, particularly in light of the present manufactured crisis's that are afoot on numerous fronts in America. And once again, the mentors of the socialist dilemma are front and center and their fingerprints are all over the canvas. "

Make the enemy live up to their (sic) own book of rules," Alinsky wrote in his 1989 book Rules for Radicals. When pressed to honor every word of every law and statute, every Judeo-Christian moral tenet, and every implicit promise of the liberal social contract, human agencies inevitably fall short. The system's failure to "live up" to its rule book can then be used to discredit it altogether, and to replace the capitalist "rule book" with a socialist one. (Courtesy Discover the Networks.org)

Newsmax rounds out the picture:

Their strategy to create political, financial, and social chaos that would result in revolution blended Alinsky concepts with their more aggressive efforts at bringing about a change in U.S. government. To achieve their revolutionary change, Cloward and Piven sought to use a cadre of aggressive organizers assisted by friendly news media to force a re-distribution of the nation's wealth.
It's all in this article. Well written and citing references that are indisputable.

Bearing Witness

To the "Arch of the moral universe."

While Rome burns (at home) and Tehran is in flames, our illustrious leader is directing us to "bear witness to the arch of the moral universe." And on the issue of N Korea, he is intent on sending signals of unity and assuring the American people that the I's are dotted and the T's are crossed and everything is under control concerning N Korea and Iran for that matter. Watch this space for updates on how all that is going.

Hot town summer in the city....

Back of his neck feeling dirt and gritty......

Those are the headlines on the Drudge page this morning. And the Daily Presidential Tracking Poll is finally beginning to register with the people. There are now three crisis's looming on the Obama daily security briefing and here in the heartland we were told by VP Joe Biden that the president would only face one real crisis within his first six months in office. (a test he called it back then.) Little did Joe or anyone else realize then, that by the time the messiah had reached his six month in office mark, that he would be staring down three separate crisis with more looming and brewing by the day. (not including the economic crisis). Everyone with access to any media has to be familiar with the churning and growing revolution in Iran. Everyone except our president it would seem.

At a time when we need an American president to step forward and demonstrate leadership and support for those seeking to overthrow the Mullahs in Iran? We find our president cowed and in the corner watching push polls, for fear of being accused by theocratic tyrants in Iran, of interfering in Iranian internal affairs. (I wonder what Obama thinks of Jimmy Carter's meddling in Iranian internal affairs thirty years ago.) Meanwhile? Gordon Brown (Gordy the jellyfish Brown to his admirers)is stealing all of the Messiah's thunder in the press. The president of the United States should be the leader of the free world. But in the past week, we have discovered he is not. That mantle has been firmly grasped by Gordon Brown, the prime minister of Britain.

Mean while, the president is once again ignoring the rambling mad man on the Korean peninsula. As the N Korean lunatic prepares to fire a rocket that he is admittedly aiming at America! And he intends to fire it at Hawaii on America's independence day holiday in less than two weeks! Obama does what? (the sounds of chirping crickets comes to mind). And if that were not enough, we now read where Al Qaida says would use Pakistani nuclear weapons given the opportunity to use them against America. So how long before the subliminal messages that Obama has intentionally been sending to the Muslim world reaches fruition? Does anyone else notice the increased tempo of global events since Obama's Cairo speech two weeks ago? Surely they have.

The Muslims and Islamic fanatics surely have. They saw a weak president and a weakened America and they fully intend to take advantage of what they are seeing. How long before Al Qaida becomes fully emboldened and capable of seizing nuclear weapons in Pakistan? How long before they gain access to the Pakistani nuclear weapons inventory and begin staging them for use against America? And what then of our illustrious leader? How much touchy feely currency will our "first black president" have with these Islamic fanatics then.

No more than he had from the beginning IMO. And that is none. I am sorry, but I have never seen things as dire as it concerns the global tinderbox of world flash points. Certainly never to the extent that it is now. Not even when I was a kid and we were staring down the Russians during the Cuban missile crisis. At least back then, we had a president with some balls and the wherewithal to know how to play high stakes poker with tyrants. But not now. Now we have a socialist interloper play acting as president and when he isn't stumbling through trying to look presidential with the aid of his teleprompter conscience, he is getting the nation's serious business of apologizing for slavery out of the way.

These are dire times that this nation is facing, both economically and internationally. Terrorist Islamic fanatics are emboldened daily by the laissez-faire economic liberal socialism and abject sophomoric policies of our junior novice president. And America cannot afford what is about to happen once again to this country on two fronts. America is literally staring down an economic collapse of biblical proportions and the president of the United States continues to smile and drive the bus toward the cliff at a faster rate. All the while seizing more power and control over all aspects of the capitalist system that built this nation into the greatest on earth.

Meanwhile, the clouds of international Islamic fanaticism are growing and they are planning massive new attacks against this country. And the best that our president can muster to the threats, is to close Guantanamo and to assert that a new day is dawning and that America must first apologize for its mistakes. And our apologist in chief has been busily apologizing for the entire first six months of his presidency. Someone once said: "There are those would watch things happen, there are those who make things happen and there are those who wonder what happened. I firmly believe that our president has a firm grip on two of those realities as we speak. And it is only a matter of time before the latter reality becomes his epitaph.

Walk a mile in his shoes

This is one of those great inspirational stories. A triumph of will and spirit. A soul that searches only for the opportunity to be as one of us....normal.
