Obama Panicks

http://www.masternewmedia.org/images/global_warming_panic.jpg

No he isn't panicking over the economy or either his potential exposure in the Illinois governor scandal. Those are each easily dodged circumstances for the messianic one and matters of little importance to the people apparently.

No, Obama is panicking over "global warming." Having had his meeting now with Al Gore and in view of the fact that saddling America with insane carbon reduction legislation, in the midst of the worst economic recession in a generation? Obama feels that there is no time to waste and that we have to dive head long and panicked into saving the planet from what just last week, was reported once again as one of the biggest hoaxes ever perpetrated against mankind.

All hail the king! All hail the saviour!  All hail The messiah!

As all hell is literally about to break loose on this nation.

Obama left with little time to curb global warming

WASHINGTON (AP) - When Bill Clinton took office in 1993, global warming was a slow-moving environmental problem that was easy to ignore. Now it is a ticking time bomb that President-elect Barack Obama can't avoid.

Since Clinton's inauguration, summer Arctic sea ice has lost the equivalent of Alaska, California and Texas. The 10 hottest years on record have occurred since Clinton's second inauguration. Global warming is accelerating. Time is close to running out, and Obama knows it.

"The time for delay is over; the time for denial is over," he said on Tuesday after meeting with former Vice President Al Gore, who won a Nobel Peace Prize for his work on global warming. "We all believe what the scientists have been telling us for years now that this is a matter of urgency and national security and it has to be dealt with in a serious way."

But there are powerful political and economic realities that must be quickly overcome for Obama to succeed. Despite the urgency he expresses, it's not at all clear that he and Congress will agree on an approach during a worldwide financial crisis in time to meet some of the more crucial deadlines.

Obama is pushing changes in the way Americans use energy, and produce greenhouse gases, as part of what will be a massive economic stimulus. He called it an opportunity "to re-power America."

After years of inaction on global warming, 2009 might be different. Obama replaces a president who opposed mandatory cuts of greenhouse gas pollution and it appears he will have a willing Congress. Also, next year, diplomats will try to agree on a major new international treaty to curb the gases that promote global warming.

Ponzi Schemes? Who's Kidding Who

http://www.willisms.com/archives/socialsecurity.gif

The news broke today of one Bernard L. Madoff, the owner of Bernard L. Madoff LLC and former chairman of NASDAQ. Seems he has floated one of the biggest ponzi schemes since the name sake Charles Ponzi who first discovered how to build paramids with other people's money ever did.

Old Bernard is into quite a few investors it would seem and for an amount surpassing 50 billion. But who is counting. Especially in today's fast times of wheeling and dealing and ongoing Washington bailouts. And particularly considering the master game being played out for all of us in Washington and on Wall Street daily.

I mean if anyone wants to talk about the mother of all Ponzi schemes? Has anyone had a look at the US Treasury lately? Last I checked they are (compliments of successive criminal congresses) at least 8.5 trillion in the red in debt that this country has financed to keep congress in the level of comfort to which they have become accustomed. And that doesn't even count the more than a trillion more in debt that we will rack up this year. Or the social security scam that is conservatively between 30-40 "trillion dollars" in shortfall compared to projected obligations.

As a matter of fact? If anyone really wants to see a ponzi scheme personified? All they need to do is take one look at social security. Talk about floating the benefits of a few on the back end by the investment dollars of many on the front end. And like I said, when that paramid collapses? It will reveal 30-40 trillion dollars of criminal decay and Washington corruption going back at least 45 years.

But then again? Franklin Roosevelt and his myriad of new deal followers knew precisely what they were creating back in 1932, as they knew the ultimate consequences. But at the least? They had the foresight to realize that by the time the bill came due? They would all be long dead and gone.

So welcome to the real world of ponzi fellow travelers. And try not to feel too much anger or pity for old Bernard. After all? He has just been doing to a few Americans what our government has been doing to us all for the last fifty years.

Treasury Bills Trade at Negative Rates as Haven Demand Surges

By Daniel Kruger and Cordell Eddings
Dec. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Treasuries rose, pushing rates on the three-month bill negative for the first time, as investors gravitate toward the safety of U.S. government debt amid the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.

The Treasury sold $27 billion of three-month bills yesterday at a discount rate of 0.005 percent, the lowest since it starting auctioning the securities in 1929. The U.S. also sold $30 billion of four-week bills today at zero percent for the first time since it began selling the debt in 2001.

“It’s the year-end factor,” said Chris Ahrens, an interest-rate strategist in Greenwich, Connecticut, at UBS Securities LLC, one of the 17 primary dealers that trade directly with the Federal Reserve. “Everyone wants to be in bills going into year-end. Buy now while the opportunity is still there.”

The benchmark 10-year note’s yield tumbled 11 basis points, or 0.11 percentage point, to 2.63 percent at 4:48 p.m. in New York, according to BGCantor Market Data. The 3.75 percent security due in November 2018 gained 31/32, or $9.69 per $1,000 face amount, to 109 23/32. The yield touched 2.505 percent on Dec. 5, the lowest level since at least 1962, when the Fed’s daily records began.
The two-year note’s yield fell 10 basis points to 0.84 percent. It dropped to a record low of 0.77 percent on Dec. 5.

If you invested $1 million in three-month bills at today’s negative discount rate of 0.01 percent, for a price of 100.002556, at maturity you would receive the par value for a loss of $25.56.

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aOGXsWKEI6F4&refer=worldwide

I can't speak for everyone else? But this is news that bothers me. And it bothers me on two levels. First, is this not the equivalent of hiding your money under the mattress? I mean with no return on investment and that as a known factor going in? Then those buying these T bills have to know that there will be no benefit aside from possible survival. Which represents to me? That we are in pretty deep doo doo finacially globally IMO.

And for reasons that I am not comfortable with, these foreign investors seem to think that the best place to ground their dwindling assets right now, is in American securities. Which means precisely what? Especially as it concerns the potential for these investors to make a run on our treasury later on down the road in the coming year.

I am no economist, but it strikes me that the US government can and has used these T bills in the past, as collateral to back up the extended credit that we have been surviving on for the last forty years. So what happens when our T bill deposits are run on by a different wind of fear and we as a nation are left literally holding an empty bag, with no means to further finance our own fiscal dillusions?

This is not a good scenario any way you slice it IMO. Something has to give and when it dies, it won't just be a tear. I will be a full blown eruption and collapse of our economy.

Say It Ain't So Joe

http://media.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/photo/2008/10/16/PH2008101601796.jpg

'Joe the Plumber' told conservative radio host Glenn Beck on Tuesday that he felt "dirty" after hitting the campaign trail with Republican presidential nominee John McCain and "seeing some of the things that take place," Politico reported.

Joe Wurzelbacher said he was specifically put off by McCain when it came to talk of the $700 billion bailout.

"When I was on the bus with him, I asked him a lot of questions about the bailout because most Americans did not want that to happen," Wurzelbacher told Beck. "I asked him some pretty direct questions. Some of the answers you guys are gonna receive they appalled me, absolutely. I was angry. In fact, I wanted to get off the bus after I talked to him."

Wurzelbacher said he stayed on the trail with McCain "honestly, because the thought of Barack Obama as president scares me even more."

Wurzelbacher, however, offered kind words to McCain running mate Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

"Sarah Palin is absolutely the real deal," he said.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/elections/2008/12/09/report-joe-plumber-says-mccain-appalled/

Finally, some truth in reporting and Joe the plumber is the one who is doing the talking and getting the coverage. I saw this article this morning and after reading it I thought to my self? "Well it's about time that somebody in the public eye says what most of us in the republican party have been saying and thinking for well over the past two years now. It's all been a dirty business for over two years now IMO.

And I feel the exact same way when considering the actions and remarks of George Bush over the past two years. And I knew back before the 2006 midterms that the GOP was in trouble because of it. How could they not be with Bush acting like a literal damned fool and the republican controlled congress acting worse and him doing nothing. Bush's not standing up to the democrats or the rogue republicans in congress and constantly demonstrating questionable decision making as in the proposed Dubai ports deal and his refusal to listen to any other voices on Iraq other than Rumsfeld are each examples of a presidency in free fall IMO prior to 2006 and afterward IMO.

Then comes John McCain offering for the presidency. A guy who makes Bush look good when comparing the lack of conservatism between the two and then comparing them to others. McCain was and is no conservative and the closest he ever got to Ronald Reagan was getting his picture made with the man.

My only hope now, is that there is still time and that there is still the ability for Americans to turn the tide on the lunacy that has been placed in control of this country. And if yesterday's news reports on the exploits and adventures of the governor of Illinois are any indication of politics in Illinois in general? Then there may in fact be some other shoes to drop as it concerns the messianic one and his rise to power from the great state of Illinois.

Rest assured that regardless of what is discovered or reported concerning Obama between now and his coronation, nothing will prevent the messianic one from assuming the Oval office on January 20th and all of the anticipatory ecstasy that will accompany the liberal after glow of his election. But given time over the next year? Particularly with the inevitable potential for the further failure of the economy? Then the people may actually awaken to realize just how badly they have been screwed and lied to and precisely how desperate their situation really is. Unless and until they can get someone back into the office truly capable of being a leader, then we are all screwed IMO.

Create vs. Keep: The Malfeasance of Socialist Change

http://images.quickblogcast.com/5/6/7/4/1/122924-114765/obama_halo_1.jpg

CHICAGO -- President-elect Barack Obama said Saturday he's asked his economic team for a recovery plan that saves or creates more than 2 million jobs, makes public buildings more energy-efficient and invests in the country's roads and schools.

    "We won't just throw money at the problem," Obama said in his weekly radio address and Internet video. "We'll measure progress by the reforms we make and the results we achieve -- by the jobs we create, by the energy we save, by whether America is more competitive in the world."

    Obama's remarks come after the Labor Department announced Friday that employers cut 533,000 jobs in November, the most in 34 years.

Obama: 'We Won't Just Throw Money at the Problem'
Well isn't that comforting. The "messianic one" isn't going to just throw money at the problem. Could that possibly be due to the fact that the only one who currently seems to have any money is Barack Obama? It's strange I suppose, I remember a few weeks back? When America was being told by the messianic one that better times were on the way. All that was needed from the people was a collective gasp of ecstasy over the one and a collective vote for change.

All we supposedly needed was change and the candy man from the south side of Chicago was the only one who could manage it for us. We were told how no American making less that a quarter of a million dollars would be touched or harmed by Obama's taxation plans. that was revised to $200,000 by Obama himself the week before the election and some of his surrogates like Joe Biden even openly admitted that it was more like $150,000

And the same has become true of his jobs proposals. During the campaign? Obama promised the creation of 2.5 million "new jobs." Now? He is saying that he intends to "maintain" at least 200,000 jobs. Maintain? That would mean an attempt to maintain, keep, prevent from loss, hold as static or simply not lose those that exist now. What happened to the 2.5 million jobs to be created by the messianic one? I guess those fell by the way side like so much more of "the one's" promises to the blind and stupid.

Now? Obama wants to "measure progress" by the "reforms" that he institutes beginning in Janauary. And the big institution that he intends to implement? None other than a "new New Deal." That is if anyone is paying attention. The old new deal centered on public works programs and infrastructure improvements. So I guess in the present day socialist mind? If it seemed to work once? Then it ought to work again. The problem is, it didn't work the first time if anyone bothers to look at the history and the facts. It wasn't FDR's grandiose new deal that pulled America out of the great depression. It was world war two. And in all probability based upon the known history that now exists on the topic? WWII was in all probability FDR's fall back position of economic stimulus, due to the failure of his new deal proposals of the previous seven years. So is that what Barack has in store for us too?

And now once again? The modern day incarnations of socialist want to revisit the failed and attempt to make the sell that it can be made to work. All that is required apparently is the right leader. Someone not necessarily of experience and direct hands on knowledge, but someone more of a visionary. Someone who can stand on the mountain top and see across to the other side. The promised land is out there, you just have to have the prophetic ability to both see the future and converse with the almighty to accomplish the proper representation to the people.

Which would seem to leave us with three potential individuals capable of accomplishing that task. The first "Moses" has been dead for around 4000 years. So he is out. Stephen the crazy Irishman from the movie Braveheart? Well he was certainly entertaining, but he was after all an actor portraying a character who conversed with the almighty.

So that would seem to leave us with the Obama messiah. Or as I prefer to reference him, the "messianic one." Lower case noted, as unless and until he performs  miracles or receives direct character support from the almighty himself? Then your title as messiah has not been consummated as genuine IMO.

Therefore, I say let the games begin. Oh....I forgot. The games have already begun. And all that we are doing right now is awaiting the blessings of the messianic one that we entrusted our future to, based upon lies and half truths and an American Idol popularity contest election.

I don't know about everyone else? But I believe that there has got to be a better way of choosing presidents and the ultimate fate of this nation.

Doing Business In The Dark White House

http://static.flickr.com/52/144846656_726d5956db.jpg

I was wondering, what is it about Washington of late? That allows for, encourages and provides for mega deals to be done on weekends at the White House? After wrestling for the past week with testimony before congress by the big three and a conclusive debate that there were/are not enough votes in congress to authorize a taxpayer bailout for the big three American auto makers?  Once again we seemingly have a deal in the works over the weekend that will provide for and accomplish an "end around" for all involved to facilitate the bailout.

President Bush, the otherwise lame duck incompetent who should have already stepped down and aside for the messianic one, has stepped forward to provide a seeming game saving solution for both the big three and the democrats. And even if it is only an interim solution? It may get them all past the crisis and over the hump. At least until Obama the great can assume the throne and dazzle us all with his socialist prestidigitation and abilities as the savior of all.

Talks Between White House, Congress Could Yield $15B for Auto Industry

WASHINGTON -- Facing massive job losses, the White House and congressional Democrats are working to provide about $15 billion in loans to prevent Detroit's weakened auto industry from collapsing.

After yielding to President George W. Bush on a key point, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the House would consider legislation next week to provide "short-term and limited assistance" to the U.S. auto industry while it undergoes "major restructuring."

"Congress will insist that any legislation include rigorous and ongoing oversight to guarantee that taxpayers are protected and that resources are directed to ensure the long-term viability and competitiveness" of the industry, Pelosi, D-Calif., said in a statement. The Senate is also scheduled to be in session next week.

The legislation, which was being crafted this weekend, would act as a lifeline to General Motors Corp., Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler LLC while meeting demands from many skeptical lawmakers that Congress refrain from writing a blank check for the beleaguered industry.

Several officials in both parties said a key breakthrough on the long-stalled bailout came when Pelosi bowed to Bush's demand that the aid come from a fund set aside for the production of environmentally friendlier cars. The California Democrat spoke to White House chief of staff Josh Bolten during the day to signal her change in position, they added.

Pelosi said the billions of dollars that had been set aside to modernize plants to develop the green cars would be repaid "within a matter of weeks." Democrats said her hope was to include the funds in an economic recovery bill that lawmakers are expected to prepare for President-elect Barack Obama's signature shortly after he takes office.

Officials in both parties also said the legislation would include creation of a trustee or group of industry overseers to make sure the bailout funds were used by automakers for their intended purpose. The funds are designed to last until March, giving the incoming Obama administration and the new Congress time to consider the issue anew.

One senior Democratic aide said Pelosi was seeking a provision that would bar the automakers from using any of the funds to pursue a legal challenge to states seeking to implement tougher auto emission standards. The aide spoke on condition of anonymity because the legislation was not yet drafted.

The discussions came hours after the government reported that employers slashed 533,000 jobs in November, the worst single month's job loss in 34 years. Bush warned that at least one of the Big Three automakers might become a casualty of the severe economic crisis.

"I am concerned about the viability of the automobile companies," Bush said.

Top executives from the Detroit automakers spent two consecutive days on Capitol Hill pleading for $34 billion in loans to help the industry survive.

The Big three. What's Best For America Now.

http://www.portfolio.com/images/feeds/blogs/uaw%20ford.jpg

A lot of focus and attention have been aimed at the struggling and potentially foundering big three American auto makers, since the election of Barack Obama as president. Before the election, speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi had signaled her intent to call a special lame duck session of congress, in order to pass preemptive legislation, supposedly aimed at the staggering American economy and spawning a new economic stimulus package.. Which is in itself rather ironic IMO, seeing as how both she and Harry Reid have spent the last 8 months as obstructionists to any republican proposal to deal with or address skyrocketing fuel prices. Which have been the undeniable driving force behind both inflation a declining US economy. And now that Gasoline prices have dipped below $2 a gallon, due to the imploding American/global economy? Now Pelosi and Reid want to ride in on their off white stallions and call themselves saving the day.

Ms. Pelosi intends to this week, structure a package in congress, to address the dire straits of the big three auto makers. A rescue plan that we as Americans will be told is a must do piece of legislation. Much like the last one last month, the one that Secretary Paulson now says must be aimed an directed elsewhere from the intended original target of the failed subprime lending arena. Ms. Pelosi's proposal will include....."requiring that the industry meet new fuel-efficiency standards, produce advanced vehicles and restructure to ensure their long-term economic viability." So what does all that really mean?  What it means to this old country boy, is that the liberal socialists in congress are intent on attempting the equivalent of a coup against the big three auto makers.

Surely the surface representation will be that their intent is benign and benevolent, but the reality that lurks behind their desires is not just to save the American auto industry. Their intent is to forever more control it. And that last fatal piece that they have never quite been able to master through previous legislation and environmental mandates? Will finally fall to their control...once they become "partners" with the big three automakers by virtue of their "rescue plan." And once that occurs the failure and control of all remaining American industry will become "fait accompli" to the new American socialist state as being crafted by Barack Obama and his loyal minions in congress..

American unions may have been the first to partially realize Marx's vision of "workers of the world unite?" But somehow I don't think that their descendent's ever envisioned what is now afoot for their legacy or how this was all going to work out in the end. Presently, the American UAW autoworker is making on average, over $88,000 a year in salary and benefits, combined with one of the most far reaching pension and educational benefits packages ever crafted into existence by any union in this country.  Never the mind that the pitched battle between the UAW and the automakers have cost the union over half of it's membership over the past twenty years. The UAW now boasts a little over 600,000 members, down from over 1.3 million twenty years ago. But some means had to be found by management to pay for and fund the demands of the unions. And like the dutiful myrmidons that they are, those UAW workers went along with the reduction in numbers of their membership, just as long as the "goals of the unions" were repeatedly met and exceeded. And that is precisely where they find themselves today. Top heavy in union management and legacy costs for the auto makers, while mired in an economy where the majority are too afraid to by a new car and those that aren't, can't find the financing to pay for the Damn things.

So Ms.Pelosi and other socialist democrats, see this as the grand opportunity to make their play and seize control forever more, American industry at it's grandest representation.....the American auto industry. And keep in mind, while all this is unfolding before your eyes, their secondary plan to unionize the rest of what isn't already union in America will be winding it's way through congress like a juggernaut. That little discussed bill designed to eliminate secret ballots for those attempting to unionize American workers in other industries and businesses. Which by example of the last twenty years should read. "those that are left."

So what happens to America, when the big three auto makers are "rescued" by congress? Well of course congress will assume their position of power and control over all aspects of auto production in this country. Such are the ways and manner of the federal government anytime it is allowed to infect something with federal tax money. There are strings attached and those strings will quickly be found to lead directly back to those "CAFE Standards" enacted originally back in 1975. The standards by which fuel economy and mileage have been determined and permitted for the past thirty years? Are about to get a revamp.

Now that the socialist elite of the democrat party have succeeded in gaining control of both houses and the presidency, their contingency of in house environmental socialists will go after the CAFE standards quickly and re-craft them just as quickly into something that would make Dr. Frankenstein proud. And if the big three American auto makers and the American public buy into this ruse of rescue and latest version of congressional three card monty? Then we are all about to see the fall of American freedom and democracy and the birth of a true socialist revolution in this country.

It has taken them the better part of the past fifty years to accomplish it, but they have finally hobbled the lumbering American giants of industry that propelled the world into the most beneficial period of human excellence in the last 2000 years. But now the bill for our laxity and failure to be good stewards of our efforts and accomplishments has come due. And while we were lax and enjoying our hard fought successes, the enemy was busily digging beneath the walls and the parapets so costly earned for this nation in the mid 1940's.

And now it is all but too late for us to do much but sit back and enjoy the ride and watch the circus as it unfolds. God help us all.The best thing that could happen right now, is if the big three were allowed to fail and enter into bankruptcy. That way, they could shed the coils of the UAW and negotiate earnestly for their return to prominence, while salvaging both the industry and the jobs of potentially as many as 3-5 million Americans. But the Pelosi's and the Reid's and the Obama's will have none of that. These evil corporations must be punished and forced to the yolk and squeezed of every last drop of life. And if tens of millions of Americans must suffer in the interim to accomplish that? Or this country as we know it must cease to exist? Then so be it. Sacrifices must be made to the socialist ideology. That is the reality of the path to Nirvana and we must all accept it..

Does Detroit Deserve a Bailout?

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/04/GM_headquarters_in_Detroit.JPG

I don't know how a lot of people feel about this? But from my perspective, this is a dual edged sword. First, bailing out these big banks represents precisely what? I mean if the end result of not bailing them out means fewer banks and tighter controls on lending practices? I am all for that.

The stupidity of the democrats whose liberalized Fannie and Freddie policies of supposed "affordable housing" is what got us here after all. Affordable to them means two things. Free for the most part number one and find someone else to pay for it number two. Well we now see how well all that worked out. or have we. And now they want to give us affordable health care. And on top of that, we did just elect a democrat to the presidency who has all but assured us that he would wreak further havoc on the American economy in the name of "spreading the wealth around." So can we afford a Detroit bailout? And will any of us even be able to afford to drive what we have in the next 24 months, much less buy something new.

But never the mind on the bank bailout, we went ahead and began plans to bailout a number of the big banks along with Fannie and Freddie as soon as we so the deep doo doo meter reach critical mass in October. And now come the big three auto makers wanting the same deal and speaking of the doom to come, if we as a nation don't ante up once again with more billions for them. So the big three auto makers, who are each individually up to their asses in unionized operating burdens and a consumer market that is for the most part too scared to buy a new car, and those who aren't are incapable of finding financing? Wants an American tax payer financed kick stand to prop them up until the stabilize. But the big questions remain, will they stabilize? Can they stabilize? And how long will that take?

So what do you do when no one will pay $1 a piece for your widgets? You drop the price to $0.50, only to discover that they still don't want to buy your widgets. Now what? Get the government to subsidize your operating expenses for some undisclosed period of time, say six months or a year? And then what happens if the customers are still too skittish to want to temp fate and assume a new car note?

There in lies the dilemma as I see it. The American people are being taxed (literally) to attempt to pay for their own economic survival and in the interim, I don't see the cost benefit analysis as described, being beneficial to anything, other than to keep the plates spinning and the fading illusion of solvency for a little while longer.

Or in essence, unless and until the entire monetary system of this country and the world's economy are collapsed and reconstituted?  There is no way for the present economy and world currencies to be sustained, defended or rescued from collapse. Regardless of what we do.  I call that the classic Humpty Dumpty scenario of our economy. I just don't see how this train wreck can be fixed, until all the existing track is ripped up and replaced with a solid roadbed.

Reid, Pelosi Urge Treasury to Extend Aid to Automakers
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/11/08/AR2008110802000_pf.html
By Lori Montgomery

With the nation's automotive industry hemorrhaging cash, congressional leaders called on the Bush administration yesterday to offer government assistance to the car companies as part of the Treasury Department's $700 billion emergency rescue program.

The call came one day after General Motors, the nation's largest auto manufacturer, announced another multi-billion dollar loss for the third quarter and said it was running out of money fast. Ford, the second-biggest car company, also reported heavy losses. Unless the government steps in, analysts warned, GM could face bankruptcy, endangering the livelihoods of about 100,000 North American autoworkers and hundreds of thousands of others whose jobs depend on the industry.

In a letter to Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson Jr., House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) asked Paulson to "review the feasibility . . . of providing temporary assistance to the automobile industry during the current financial crisis."

Join The Revolution Today!

The NEW Reagan Revolution

Bring Conservatism BACK!

From the Desk of Michael Reagan

Friday, Nov. 7

Dear Conservative Friend,

It's official: America has its first truly Socialist president... and it's the Republican Party's fault.

No, scratch that -- it's the so-called "leaders" of the GOP who are at fault for this humiliating defeat -- and I say it's time to name names and make heads roll in our party. Because, my fellow conservatives, we have been BETRAYED by the very people who promised that, if we would just elect them, they would get into office and vote OUR conservative values.

THEY LIED... THE GOP DIED.

But we CAN resurrect it -- IF we start TODAY to take action, by both booting out our failed fake-conservative "leadership" AND vowing to FIGHT tooth and nail against the coming tidal wave of destructive, anti-American legislation that's now heading our way... thanks to Obama, Pelosi and Reid.

We CAN fight back -- Join me now in the NEW Reagan Revolution, to bring Conservatism BACK!

ReaganAction.com

As I sit here looking at yesterday's election results -- maps, vote tallies, exit polls, state and national results, and much more -- I have to say that, like many of you, I'm in a state of shock.

Not because I'm surprised, mind you -- I warned you that this would happen if the Republican Party nominated John McCain for president.

Yes, I was right... but believe me, that doesn't make me happy. What it makes me... is angry.

  • Angry at the Democrats, of course. Once again, they ran a campaign full of lies and hate-filled attacks, from Obama's claims that he had "never heard" his racist pastor's anti-American rhetoric over a 20-year period of time, to his claims that his terrorist friend Bill Ayers was "just a guy in the neighborhood," to outright slanderous speech against Governor Sarah Palin... but hey, I expect the Democrats to act that way. It's their nature.
  • Angry at the "moderate" (meaning liberal) Rockefeller-wing of the Republican Party, who tried to kill the idea of grassroots involvement of hardworking, patriotic, conservative Americans in our party. There's NO grassroots activism when the Rockefeller wing's philosophy prevails; that wing of the party consists of "kingmakers" operating from behind the throne, while the Reagan wing of the party has always lived and thrived at the grassroots, where the real Americans live. When the Rockefeller-wing philosophy prevails, the GOP loses. When the Reagan wing is in control, we win.
  • Angry with President Bush because he was unwilling to stop Republican Congressional leaders from overspending and because his administration failed to lay the blame for the financial crisis at the feet of Rep. Barney Frank and Senator Chris Dodd that protected Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from reform.
  • Angry at the so-called "leaders" of our party, who promised us that if we'd just vote for who they put up for election, we'd finally get what we wanted: smaller government, lower taxes, dramatically lower spending, pro-life laws, pro-marriage constitutional amendments, pro-American economics... well, YOU AND I put them in power, and they gave us nothing but BIG GOVERNMENT, BIG DEFICITS, and LIBERAL COMPROMISES.

I say, NO MORE! Join me now in the NEW Reagan Revolution, to bring Conservatism BACK!

ReaganAction.com

As bad as yesterday's election results were, I believe there IS "light at the end of the tunnel" -- I believe we now have the opportunity to finally turn out these fake "leaders" that have betrayed conservatism and given us Barack Obama. We have the opportunity to bring back the Reagan wing of the Republican Party, to slow down the socialist legislation from Pelosi and Reid, and to restore this great Republic to its original ideals of basic self-evident truths: our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

This is our chance, friend. It may be our ONLY chance to save our Party -- and it may be our LAST chance to save our country.

Here's what I'm doing to help make that happen: Today, I'm officially launching a new website, ReaganAction.com. This is no wimpy little website with some news articles and a bunch of editorial writers griping about how bad things are. The time for "just talking" is OVER -- now is the time for ACTION!

Every day, we'll give the members of this site -- our own "Reagan Activists" -- the information they need in order to take real grassroots action to counter the greatest political threat we've ever faced within our own government. It won't take a lot of time -- usually only a few minutes a day -- but the political payout will be HUGE!

Here are some of the things that YOU AND I will be able to do at ReaganAction.com:

  • STOP LIBERAL BILLS -- We can expect an immediate onslaught of extreme liberal bills to be "fast-tracked" through Congress and signed by Obama. We will constantly be on the watch for these bills -- and every time they get introduced, we'll alert our Activists to literally FLOOD Capitol Hill with millions of phone calls, faxes, emails and even hand-delivered letters and petitions, DEMANDING that our elected legislators do what WE say, or else face our wrath at the next election!
  • FIGHT LIBERAL EXECUTIVE ORDERS -- You can be sure that President Obama (oh, how that phrase terrifies me!) will get right to work on Day One, issuing Executive Orders that will make your skin crawl: repealing pro-life presidential directives, ordering agencies to fund far-left groups like ACORN and the ACLU, signing over American sovereignty to the United Nations and the European Union... he's got a long list! But for every liberal (and usually unconstitutional) Executive Order that Barack Obama issues, we'll alert our Activists to BARRAGE the White House with even MORE phone calls, faxes, emails and even hand-delivered letters and petitions, DEMANDING that he "reverse course" on those Orders or face a Republican Congress in 2010!
  • EXPOSE LIBERAL CORRUPTION -- With the Democrats back in power in both Congress and the White House, you KNOW that they'll be falling right back into their habits of taking lobbyists' money under the table, trading votes for campaign contributions, spying on and sabotaging Republican legislative plans, covering up their leaders' sexual "flings," and spending taxpayer money on personal expenses like never before. But this time, YOU AND I will be there every step of the way, making sure that no stone is left unturned, every dark corner is filled with light, and every illegal act is paid for with censure, impeachment, recalls, investigations, and jail time for every criminal we expose in Washington, D.C.
  • COUNTER THE LIBERAL MEDIA -- Whenever any of these things take place, we'll be directing our "Reagan Activists" to constantly fill the news media with letters to the editor, guest editorials, and news articles detailing the socialistic and corrupt policies of the new liberal regime, and offering America a better way -- the way of freedom... the CONSERVATIVE way.

Together, we CAN save America from the new liberal regime! Join me now in the NEW Reagan Revolution, to bring Conservatism BACK!

ReaganAction.com

And don't forget -- I'll also be spreading the word the same way I do already: by writing nationally-syndicated columns each week, and by speaking to over five million listeners each and every weekday on my nationwide radio show!

We MUST do this. Really -- what choice do we have, except to fight back and WIN? As my father, President Ronald Reagan, once said, "We must act today in order to preserve tomorrow."

My father wasn't afraid to call evil what it was -- and neither am I. He defeated the "Evil Empire" called the Soviet Union -- but now we face a new "Evil Empire." It's called Socialism, and it's taken over our once-free nation through the victories of Obama, Pelosi and Reid.

We do NOT have to give up. We do NOT have to slink into some dark corner and lick our wounds. This is OUR MOMENT TO SHINE -- and that's why I'm launching ReaganAction.com!

Like I said before, when the Reagan wing is in control, we win. We don't need kingmakers; we need workers, and until we get them we'll stay the minority party. We don't need to keep the toady liberals who call themselves the "leaders" of the Republican Party; we need conservatives to TAKE BACK the Republican Party, and GET RID OF those losers!

WILL YOU JOIN ME, and hundreds of thousands of your fellow conservative activists nationwide? Let's show these liberals what real REAGAN Republicans can do, when WE'RE in charge of the GOP!

Join me now in the NEW Reagan Revolution, to bring Conservatism BACK!

P.S.  Already, the new radical regime in Washington, D.C. is planning their first legislative attacks on America:

  • Huge increases in payroll and income taxes;
  • Redistributionist "share the wealth" policies;
  • Repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act;
  • Forcing faith-based groups to hire gays;
  • Repeal all state regulations on abortion through FOCA;
  • Require taxpayer funding of abortion through Medicaid;
  • Block all efforts to "Drill Here, Drill Now" in America;
  • Impose universal health care through job-killing employer mandates;
  • Appoint activists liberal Supreme Court judges;
  • Kill conservative talk radio by re-instituting the "Fairness Doctrine";
  • Require comprehensive sex education from the earliest grades in public schools;
  • Enforce bilingual education in the public schools;
  • Allow convicted felons to vote;
  • Take secret ballot voting away from workers deciding on whether to unionize...

The list goes on and on and on...

And it's up to YOU AND I to stop them! Don't let the door slam shut on this opportunity to make a difference...

Center Left? Or Center Right?

http://wwww.chrismilliman.com/hillshots/images/center_line.jpg

Is this a center right country anymore? Or based on last night's election, have we become a center left country? Or are we as Americans simply tired and believe that change regardless of degree or depth, is the only remedy for what ails us.

I live in Georgia and my state was solidly in McCain's camp last night as the votes were tallied.
I went into town today to do my walking and then to go by the barbershop to get a haircut.  And let me just say that the reactions and conversations were neither unexpected or approving of the new president elect.

My barber (a young woman in her very early 30's) came by the shop on her off day and literally looked physically ill when I saw her enter. I asked her if she felt alright and she spun and looked me square in the eye and told me directly, that she literally felt sick to her stomach over this election. And she did so while visibly holding her stomach. "What the hell were these people thinking!"

And among  the men....there were several who found the largest amount of blame for this political tragedy with one George W. Bush. Combined with the fact of whom "we" had supposedly chosen to represent the republican party this go round.

As I explained to several of the gentlemen present, I have more than a few bones to pick with President Bush and his handling of foreign and domestic affairs over the past three years in particular has led significantly to what we witnessed at the polls yesterday IMO too.

But a large portion of the blame for this loss rests on the square reality that John McCain never was the candidate of the people of the party in my belief. Or the belief of many others that I have talked to over the past six months for that matter.  He may have been the darling of the newly arrived grand old party of moderate change? But many party loyalist saw hues and stripes on this particular dog that we never liked or agreed with from the beginning.

Problem was, his succeeding in the passage of his bill (McCain Feingold) left us with nothing other than a media propelled candidacy for, for who they (the media) wanted the GOP candidate to be. And the rest as they say is history. The party faithful were left out of the equation from day one, and they and the party know it.

Therefore, we are left now at the complete mercy of a liberal socialist party that is more inspired to prove itself and it's newly invigorated socialist roots and more determined to wipe the scourge of George W. Bush from the collective memory of this land, than they are to concern themselves about the slippery slope that they have willingly sought to place the future of this country on.

In an old southern adage of perspective? We are in a fine pickle and there isn't a damn thing we can do but ride this mule to town and hope like hell there is better stock for the trading when we get there.

But somehow I see this as one long an arduous journey and I am not sure that it is one that we will all survive.

What Change Has Come America?

Well, it's a little after 6 AM here in the east. And yes, I went to sleep on the grand coup of American politics about 10 last night. As I have long since known that there was no point in wasting sleep and rest on the inevitable that I have seen looming for months.

I rose to see John McCain making his concession speech at 4AM EST from Arizona. And of course all the talking heads in the media are now in the first major waves of an after glow that will last for a few weeks IMO. But I sincerely believe that before inauguration day ever arrives for Barack Obama, many of those who betrayed their future and their family's future  on the alter of egalitarian relativism yesterday, will already have come to realize the drastic mistake that has been made.

The leadership of this country should not be decided by the falsely generate popularity contest of some contrived media contest that rivals a true rendition of American Idol. If it is possible for this nation to vote someone into the presidency of the United States based simply on empty popularity and absent any measurable history or record of ability to lead, aside from an abounding absence of personal character and a clear detestation for what this nation represents.......then I believe that we as a people have accomplished it wit the election of one Barack Obama.

I have now lived to see the complete transformation of reason that was forewarned so many years ago and from the age of my youth. Nakita Kruchev warned us and his words are echoing and resonating through the chambers of my mind as they have never before. And I feel sure that as the sun rises on this nation today, there will be many more who will feel the same chill as I, as they contemplate the same words from so long ago.

"Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you"

"On August 24, 1963, Khrushchev himself remarked in his speech in Yugoslavia, "I once said, 'We will bury you,' and I got into trouble with it. Of course we will not bury you with a shovel. Your own working class will bury you," [4] a reference to the Marxist saying, "The proletariat is the undertaker of capitalism"; a popular articulation of the materialist conception of history as the inevitable progression of class struggle toward communism."

wikipedia

The coup d’état of American character and morality has been accomplished. And it took a little over forty years for Kruchev's reality of sincere pursuit to be visited on this nation. It wasn't only
Kruchev who was pursuing the downfall of this nation, but he certainly was the only one on the side of the enemy to sound the warning that would go unheeded.

There will be calls now to rebuild the grand old party. To resurrect the ghost and pick up the standard and such. To seek out the new leaders and champions to come....capable of staunching the flow and returning reason to the rancorously unreasonable. but just as Margaret Mitchell once observed of another lost cause of this country.  All of the past glory and greatest of shared desire and ambition have been stricken from our future. And all that remains in the aftermath, is the realization that all that we ever knew and all that we could have ever become.....is now gone with the wind.

How Will Obama Play in Scranton Tomorrow

http://gristmill.grist.org/images/user/8/ObamaKentuckyCleanCoal_lg.jpg

Palin criticizes Obama's remarks about coal plants She cites an audiotape posted on the Internet. The Obama campaign calls the tape 'wildly edited.' Link to Story

I have to wonder about the state of Pennsylvania. I mean this election is really going to tell a lot about where these people who live in Pennsylvania's head is at IMO.

Back during th Pennsylvania primary, is where Barack Obama made his first political misstep. Or so it would seem. that was the point where his famous "people cling to their guns and religion" remarks. but according to the polls? You would never know that he ever uttered the remarks.

The polls reflect that Pennsylvania remains a "battleground" state in this election, with Barack Obama surging ahead of John McCain. What's is up with that? Do these people not get television or radio news or newspapers in Pennsylvania? Sure they do, but are they paying attention?

On Friday the revelation came out concerning Barack Obama's stated intent to the San Francisco Chronicle during an interview, where he clearly stated his intent to bankrupt the coal industry period. Obama explained that his plan was to make it so burdensome with federally mandated EPA carbon fines, as to put those in the coal business and those who attempt to use coal out of business.

Will this be the straw that breaks the camel's back in Pennsylvania? I mean Pennsylvania is "coal country" isn't it? Or are these dumb smucks so blinded by the robes of the messiah, as to completely destroy their own futures for the opportunity to say that they voted for the American Idolatry candidate?

I certainly hope that there are more than just the supposed rednecks of western Pennsylvania that (hopefully soon to be ex congressman) John Murtha referred to last week during his own death spiral. Or is being pro your own survival in the face of a candidate who has repeatedly told you, that not only doesn't he respect you, but he also intends to put you in line for poverty, enough to bring out the vote of reason in Pennsylvania?

I have lived long enough to see some crazy things both in life and in politics. But if Pennsylvania goes for Barack Obama, along with any other Appalachian state involved in coal production, or the heritage and belief of family values and God and the constitutional right to bear arms?

Then i think that what left of the rest of us should form a committee and seriously look into another secessionist movement in this country. Perhaps that Alaskan party that they keep trying to hang around the neck of Sarah Palin is ahead of us all in recognizing the reality of what needs too be done.

I am seriously worried and concerned for the future of this country, if this interloping poser Barack Obama succeeds in winning this election.

Is He Risen?

This is the current front page photo on the Drudge Report. Is it just me? Or is the media's use of messianic imagery beyond the pale? This trend of photographing Obama with the halo effect, has been being observed and noted for months now. Parodies have even been done about it and there is at least one website that I have seen, that is actually tracking and cataloging all the instances of staged photos with the messianic glow or halo effect involving Obama.

But at this point in the process? The ever looming larger question in my mind is why? Why so much forced perspective and religious iconery? Why every day? Why is the media so obsessed with portraying this messianic image.

My personal opinion? The leftist secular media is literally making fun of the conservative religious right in this country. Literally rubbing their noses in their intentional blasphemy of iconic Christian images of the savior.

The media sees this as funny. A subtle way to poke Christians in the eye and say hey! Look at us! We have our messiah too! Little do they realize that the anti American left tilted media? May in fact have achieved their desire. And unwittingly? They may very well have brought forth the foretold anti Christ of prophesy.

Give Me Effigy! Or Give Me Death!

Is an effigy of political speech an effigy? Or is it something else? And what is precisely the difference? Sarah Palin has been swinging in the breeze for several days now in west Hollywood California? And all that the media or anyone else seems to be able to say or think about it is is "So what?" Even the US Secret Service had a look see and exhaled a collective "we could care less." Or was that simply due to who was involved and who wasn't involved?

You know what? I tend to agree with the sentiments of: So what?

Americans have been hanging politicians in effigy for over 150 years that I know of, as evidenced by the snippet that I placed at the bottom of this thread. So what's changed?

Nothing accept that once again Americans are reintroduced to what is really permissible and socially acceptable as free speech speech in America and what isn't. Or more importantly? What is hate speech in America? Or should we just go ask Bill Clinton for a contemporary definition of what the definition of is "is" this week?.

And as evidenced by the article snippet below, some other folks are beginning to respond to and answer the question that has been repeatedly asked for several days now all across the country, although mostly in private conversations. "What would be the reaction in the media and with the "powers that be" if someone was to hang Barack Obama in effigy?

That question was answered earlier today and the answers are already pouring in. We now have the president of the university of Kentucky apologizing to the thought police and black Americans for the indiscretions of some of his students. And the news reported just a few minutes ago....that there is a private citizen elsewhere in America, who has done the exact same thing. Seems this citizen has a son serving in the US military and that son is currently serving in Iraq and his father is voicing his objections to a potential Obama presidency and what that represents to him. sounds like basic first amendment stuff to me.

Now the real "q u e e r" thing about all this in my opinion? Is that there was a time when those in this country actually enjoyed "freedom of speech." And I for one believe that there should be a move to recapture that heritage. And these supposed "hate crimes" of speech? Well they can be Damned! I will speak my mind and those that don't like it? Well they know what part of my anatomy they can kiss.

Obama effigy found on U. of Kentucky campus
School president plans to personally apologize to the Obama family

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Authorities at the University of Kentucky are trying to find out who hung an effigy of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on campus.

College spokesman Carl Nathe said it was found hanging from a tree Wednesday morning. Police immediately took it down.

School President Lee Todd says that he plans to personally apologize to the Obama family on behalf of the university and that he is "personally offended and deeply embarrassed by this disgusting episode."

"You Were Last Night Hung in Effigy in This City"
The president-elect received an anonymous telegram from Pensacola, Florida:

Nov 8th

Pensacola Fla

You were last night hung in effigy in this city--

A Citizen

A reporter watched Lincoln read the telegram and asked him what he thought about it. Lincoln dismissed it, explaining that such feeling was “limited to a very small number, though very intense."

A free and fair election did not quiet the voices of secession; in fact, it had the opposite effect. An editorial in this morning’s Richmond Semi-Weekly Examiner did not waste time hanging the president-elect in effigy. Instead, the writer analyzed the results of the election and made an ominous prediction: “The Government of the Union is in the hands of the avowed enemies of one entire section. It is to be directed in hostility to the property of that section.” Would the South stand by and wait for the new government to assail them? “What is to be done, is the question that presses on every man," the editor concluded.

I have added the editorial to the Primary Documents section. Here it is in full:

Socialism: The Great Whore of Babylon Revealed

A 1800s Russian engraving depicting the Whore of Babylon riding the seven-headed Beast.

As the closing days of the presidential campaign have unfolded, much attention has been brought over the last week to the issue of socialism in the Obama philosophy and his political viewpoints of intended policy. Beginning with the Joe the plumber faux pas that occurred about ten days ago now in Toledo Ohio, the media has finally found a small sliver of Obama's blood in the water that they have demonstrated a passing interest in playing with.

And that interest was propped up and given a new burst of energy last week, when Joe Biden while being interviewed by an Orlando television affiliated, seemed to literally skewer old Joe with the petard that the socialist left is now fleeing from. Many democrats now look as if voyeurs somehow stricken by religion, having been caught in the reading room of a bordello glancing through the catalog of inventory.

But even with all the renewed interest and even with at least two audio tapes surfacing over the past weekend, each of which demonstrating a clear track record and favored political philosophy of socialism by one Barack Obama? The real issue of socialism as proposed by none other than Barrack Obama, once again fails to gain the public scrutiny that it so richly deserves. Especially if this is precisely what America is about to have packed up their backsides, by Barack Obama if he wins this election next week.

Obama's plans of socialism literally comes directly from the Karl Marx play book of socialism/communism. "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need" Obama so much as said it outright when he addressed Joe the plumber in Toledo ten days ago. That's where all the controversy over Obama's socialism finally surfaced. Never mind that many like myself have been madly ringing the fire bell now for months. And trying to get people's attention to actually look at this hipster from Chicago and the largest liberal left machine in this country that propelled him to the present state of almost there.

All that Barack Obama has done and is doing? Is engaging in the practical application of Marx's Critique of the Gotha Program. Look it up, it's relatively self explanatory. As are the basic principles of precisely how and why dictatorship of the proletariat is the objective of all committed communists and socialists. But at the same time it demonstrates why the entire political theorem of socialism fails and always has failed. And always will fail every time that it is scrutinized for substance and content.

Barack Obama wants Americans to believe that spreading the wealth is the right thing to do. He wants Americans to believe that there are and will always be the fattened calves of the evil rich, whose wealth can always be drawn on. That the evil rich will always be available for the socialist harvest and that the regular slaughter of their loins for the collective good of all is always the right thing to do.

However, as with many of the ideological theories of the supposed enlightened left, they fail to take the experiment of socialism and carry it forth to it's final conclusive evidence of failure. So much better the dream than the reality.

If it is no more complicated than "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need?" Then why bother attempting individual wealth to begin with? As long as there will "always be those" available to strip of their accumulated work and wealth? Then why bother to attempt to attain individual collective work or wealth for yourself period?

There will always be those evil doers about according to the Barack Obama's of the world. And all that is required to propel the starship Nirvana perpetually? Is the regular and government regulated skinning of the pious rich, by those whose only purpose of existence is to perpetuate fairness and equality for all. At the direction and guidance of a benevolent government of course.

Are you getting the picture on this now? Are you seeing where the flaw in the socialist programming really is? Are the Emperor's new clothes becoming just a bit more transparent if not falling away completely?

You see, the problem with socialism and the problem with Barack Obama's vision of "New Deal Socialism" in the 21st century, is that there must be incentives for people to want to achieve and succeed at anything in life, if they are going to become rich and harvest-able at some point in the future for the socialists? Then they have to have an incentive beyond being the Aphids in the ant colony of life. But the socialist model not only penalizes the reality of individuality, but it also stifles it and strangles it in it's entirety. Therefore, how does one become a fattened calf? If there is no desire to become one exists and only misery and disdain follows after those who have?

For you see, there can be no individual wealth if all is distributed equally to everyone in the absence of individual accumulation and a complete lack of desire to achieve. Which leaves only one accumulator of wealth in reality. The accumulation of government wealth. And what does history show us and prove time and time again, whenever, power and wealth are concentrated in the hands of government and the ruling class of government appointed rulers?

And what happens when we take away people's incentives to strive and achieve individually? And when we tell the people "don't worry, it will be alright. Everything will be taken care of for you and all will be provided for you, "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need?" Then friends the reality of the fallaciousness of socialism as represented becomes dramatically clear IMO.

Socialism isn't the answer or the pathway to either equity, fairness or social Nirvana. Socialism is the means and the mechanism of enticement used by despots and tyrants. It is the eye and mind candy used by those who's object it is to enslave rather than bestow freedom. And up to this point in history, it has always been employed against the capriciously massaged minds of those who already had little to lose but themselves. It was first deployed in America in the 1930's by one Franklin Roosevelt, but the transformation wasn't completed then. Only the seeds planted deep in the collective psyche of America.

To be completely successful, the minds and the characters of large quantities of the population must be lulled into the belief that times are so dire, that only one answer remains. Hence the present dilemma being proffered by the collective socialists of the world and their Vichy brethren in seats of power globally. Those who are actually manipulating the American and global economy and preparing the ground for the coming of the Obama presidency and the new world order that we have all heard of, but never believed possible in our time.

Time is short people. Our time as a nation may be critically short. The game may already be lost and each of us may be already headed into a dim and dire future. I sincerely hope and pray that enough Americans will stand up on November 4th and brush the veil of socialist lies from their eyes and deny this socialist interloper the prize of the American presidency. Because if they don't? We may be watching the last days of this nation as we know it.
